Communications and Community Relations Office

The Communications and Community Relations Office is responsible for the regular dissemination of public information about the City of Redlands through various communications vehicles, including social media, news releases to the media, Redlands TV and other public forums. The Public Information Officer hosts press conferences, writes press releases and articles for publication in magazines and newsletters, manages the City’s social media platforms and helps coordinate public events. The Communications and Community Relations Office also oversees the City’s Government Access cable TV channels 3 (Spectrum customers) and 35 (Verizon customers). The Communications and Community Relations Office includes the Redlands TV video unit, which produces original programming regarding municipal services for Redlands TV.

News releases from the City of Redlands and the Redlands Police Department are available to the press and the public online through the City of Redlands Newsroom.

Redlands TV

Redlands TV is a government access cable channel with programming generated from Redlands City Hall. Programming includes City Council and Planning Commission meetings and select special events either sponsored or co-sponsored by the City; and informational videos highlighting city services and programs. Redlands TV is available to cable television subscribers through Spectrum cable (Channel 3) or Frontier cable (Channel 35) services.

Filming Opportunities
In the City of Redlands

The City of Redlands promotes a positive atmosphere for production companies wishing to film within City limits. A film permit is required for all filming done within the City of Redlands. We have a simplified permit procedure designed to coordinate all your production needs with City health and safety requirements.
