Current Openings on Commissions and Boards

The City of Redlands is once again seeking students to serve on three of its advisory commissions.  These commissions serve in an advisory role to the City Council.  Students appointed to these commissions serve as a full voting member.  Therefore, it is very important that students are able and willing to attend the meetings. Applications are being solicited from junior class students attending high school in Redlands.  Students serve for one full calendar year with the first six months as a junior in high school, through the summer and the last part of the year as a senior.

The following commissions have student members, and their meeting times are:

  • Human Relations Commission – 6:30 pm. on the second Monday of odd-numbered months
  • Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission – 4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month
  • Traffic and Parking Commission – 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of odd-numbered month

Interested High School Students should complete an application and submit it to the Office of the City Manager, 35 Cajon Street, Suite 200, Redlands, CA 92373 or email to RedlandsOCM@cityofredlands.org, by October 7, 2022.  Appointments will be made by the City Council at its meeting of November 1, 2022.
