The appointed EMS Coordinator is in charge of the Paramedic Program in the City of Redlands. The goal of the Paramedic Program is to provide the citizens of Redlands the highest quality of advanced life support and pre-hospital care by well trained personnel, as well as to meet the education and delivery standards required by the County of San Bernardino and the State of California. This goal is being met through the following:

  • Coordination of the Delivery of Emergency Medical Services.
  • Promotion of the highest standards of emergency care, rapid response, and CPR instruction for City employees.
  • On-going training and certification programs.

In 1981 the Redlands Fire Department launched its Paramedic Program to provide the highest quality advanced life support and pre-hospital care to the Citizen’s of Redlands. The EMS coordinator is responsible for training and education of the EMTs and Paramedics for the department, as well as making sure the education and delivery standards are in line with the County of San Bernardino and the State of California. Currently. Every apparatus within the City of Redlands Fire Department is equipped with one Firefighter/Paramedic coupled with advanced life support equipment.
