The City of Redlands Recreation Divison will start moving towards
reopening the division’s recreation/senior center facilities with
some restrictions to visitors. Starting April 5th, 2021 the
gymnasium at the Redlands Community Center (111 W Lugonia Ave)
will reopen with a max capacity of 40 people. At this time the
division is allowing dance and fitness classes and court
rentals to resume between the hours 10:00am – 7:00pm, Monday thru
Friday. The tennis courts will continue to remain open. All
visitors to the gymnasium will be required to check in and will
only be allowed to enter with the instructor present. NO OPEN GYM
until further notice. The Joslyn Senior Center and the Redlands
Community Senior Center will remain closed.
The Redlands Recreation Division
will continue to provide fun and enriching
recreational programming that you can enjoy in the safety of your
home with virtual recreation programming or in-person sport
classes at city parks. We have taken necessary precautions
with our in-person programs to ensure the health and safety
of participants. Please visit our website often as updates
will be posted regularly.
In addition, we are working with members and businesses of our
community to provide support to our Seniors who are at high risk
during the COVID-19 crisis. The services we are able to
provide includes weekly frozen food packages through the Family
Service Association, care packages for seniors, our never alone
program, and social engaging programs via Zoom.
As San Bernardino County transitions into the Red Tier, the City of Redlands has develop new guidelines on reopening city recreational facilities with some restrictions. Below is an outline for a tentative schedule for reopening the Redlands Community Center and the Redlands Senior Center:

10% Capacity – Maximum 40 people
No open gym, reservations only, focused on programming and rentals, with 15 minute breaks between activities

It’s that time of year again! AARP Tax Aide will be providing free tax preparation services for all seniors. This year tax appointments will be conducted from the comfort of your car to comply with state and CDC guidelines.
Loma Linda University Health is working with San Bernardino County in following a phased approach to provide the Covid-19 vaccine to our community. Based on current county tier guidelines, you are eligible to receive a vaccine if you are a San Bernardino County resident in tier 1, 2 or 3 of Phase 1A or are 65 years of age or older.
The Board of Supervisors announced that all San Bernardino County
residents ages 65 and over are now eligible to be vaccinated
Vaccine supplies from the State are limited, so appointments are
scarce. County residents 65 and over can make appointments
through sbcovid19.com/vaccine. Seniors
can also sign up for email and text notifications to receive
alerts about vaccination opportunities and other vaccination news
through the “65+ Vaccine Notification Sign Up” link at sbcovid19.com/vaccine.
A big THANK YOU to Emmet Asker! Emmet will be a junior this fall
at The Grove High School in Redlands. Emmet’s talents with a
sewing machine are outstanding. He has made many masks and has
