Park Reservations

Group of less than 50 people, and no vendor will be present, you may use the Park facilities on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost.

Group of less than 50 people, with a vendor present and/or reserving a specific area of a park shall submit a park reservation request as noted below.

When is a Formal Park Reservation Request Required?

  • If a vendor will be present at the event (a company is hired to provide a service at the Park)
  • If the group is 50 or more people
  • If alcohol will be served at the event
  • For any event at the Redlands Bowl
  • For any event at the Avice Meeker Sewall Theater in Prospect Park
  • Sylvan Park – the picnic tables located in Sections “A” and “C”, the gazebo and the covered picnic area are reservable

Submitting a Formal Park Reservation Request

All Formal Park Reservation Permits must be submitted at least seven days prior to the event date. Staff will review the reservation request and confirm the reservation if the facilities are available and all conditions of the reservation are met.

Athletic Field Reservations

Season 2021-Applications Being Accepted

All athletic field reservation applications must be submitted at least 2-weeks prior to the event date. Staff will review the reservation request and confirm the reservation if the facilities are available and all conditions of the reservation are met.

Athletic Reservations are able to be made within the hours of :

Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE:

Effective February 25th, 2021: The City of Redlands is accepting applications for field activities at Community Park, Brookside Park, and Texonia Park.  All organized youth sports and recreation— including school- and  community-sponsored programs, and privately-organized clubs and leagues — and adult recreational sports (hereafter youth and adult sports) must follow the current state guidelines. All field users must sign an in agreeance to comply to all Federal, State, and County health guidelines.

Current Fields Avaliable To Reserve

  • Community ParkAn 18.2 acre park with 4 lighted baseball fields
  • Brookside Park- An 9.2 acre neighborhood park with a fully lighted field
  • Texonia ParkA 10.7 acre neighborhood park with a lighted soccer field

2022- Athletic Field Reservations

Season 2022- Applications are being accepted

Applications for athletic field use for the Winter/Spring 2022 season (January 15th – June 30th) are being accepted with a submission deadline of September 15th 2021.

Effective June 1st 2021, the City of Redlands City Council adopted Resolution No. 8210 that establishes a new field allocation system to maximize use of available City owned sports fields to users. The new system will move away from our prior filtered system to a group system.
