With the continuously evolving COVID-19 crisis, the City of
Redlands Recreation Divison has temporarily closed the Redlands
Community Center and both Joslyn and Lugonia Senior Centers, as
well has suspended all reservations in buildings. The city
however has reopened tennis, pickleball, and golf programs. In
addition, all sport fields have reopened to allow for
individual fitness opportunities. Please visit our website
often as updates will be posted regualatory.
With our facility closures in effect the Redlands Recreation
Division will continue to dedicate ourselves to serving our
community by providing and promoting fun and enriching
recreational programming that you can enjoy in the safety of your
home though our Virtual Recreation Center. Click here to find out more.
In addition, we are working with members and businesses of our
community to provide support to our Seniors who are at high risk
during the COVID-19 crisis. The services we are able to
provide includes weekly frozen food packages through the Family
Service Association, Daily hot meals delivered to their door
through the Meals on Wheels program, care packages for seniors,
our never alone program, and social engaging programs via Zoom.

The City of Redlands Recreation Division is pleased to offer Virtual Watercolor Classes for adults every Monday at 10:00AM taught by Cindy Sullivan. Classes begin on Monday, September 14th and continue through October 5th. Class fee is $37 for all four classes. The virtual watercolor class will be held via: Zoom.
Students will need to sign up here. Deadline to sign up is Friday, September 11th. Class material list and Zoom meeting ID will be emailed upon registration.
Redlands Recreation Division has open the Redlands Community Senior center and the Joslyn Senior Center as a Cooling Center for the public.The cooling center will operate on days the National Weather Service has issued a high heat advisory when temperature are expected to reach 100°F and above.

San Bernardino County, Aging and Adult Services has started a
program that is designed to support adults 65 and older and
adults 60-64 who are at high-risk from COVID-19, in staying home
and staying healthy by delivering three nutritious meals a day,
and also provide essential economic stimulus to local businesses
and workers struggling to stay afloat during the COVID-19 crisis.
A big THANK YOU to Emmet Asker! Emmet will be a junior this fall
at The Grove High School in Redlands. Emmet’s talents with a
sewing machine are outstanding. He has made many masks and has
donated some to our seniors. Thank you again Emmet! Way to go!
The Redlands Community Senior Center and the Joslyn Senior Center
are closed until further notice and the Redlands Senior
Transportation has suspended service due to covid-19, however
during this crisis this website has been rebranded with a new url
and highlights local resources for senior citizens in our
community. A new senior helpline phone number (909)
798-7579 was also created to provide callers with information on
local resources. City staff will be available to answer phone
calls Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or by
email at firstname.lastname@example.org
In addition we have established a virtual senior center to
provide a community connection to Redlands residents through

Redlands Recreation staff
The City is partnering with several organizations to assist
Redlands senior citizens who need assistance. These supplemental
programs are possible, thanks to assistance from the Family
Service Association of Western Riverside County, Redlands Meals
on Wheels, and Redlands Community Foundation.
The Healthy Meals for Seniors is a temporary program for all
senior citizens who live in Redlands.
