Redlands to celebrate Juneteenth with two days of activities

The City of Redlands, in conjunction with Unity in the Community, the Redlands Police Department, the University of Redlands, and The Village Second Baptist Church present the 5th Annual Redlands Juneteenth Celebration, June 16 and 17.

Several events are planned during the two-day celebration.

Friday, June 16

  • Freedom Awards Reception – Celebrating individuals who have made a difference in our community by Building Bridges to the Generations through their work and commitment. Noon to 2 p.m. at the University of Redlands Frederick Loewe Performance Hall Room 107, 1200 E. Colton Ave.
  • Midnight Hoopz & NBA 2K Tournament – 11 years and older

9 p.m. to midnight at the Redlands Community Center, 111 W. Lugonia Ave.

Saturday, June 17, at Sylvan Park, 601 N. University St.

  • Kids Zone & Family Fun

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  •  Vendor Expo

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Freedom Skate – skate park event for youth

Noon to 2 p.m.
