AN ORDINANCE OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 5.08.482 OF THE REDLANDS 5.08.482 OF THE CITY’S MUNICIPAL CODE AS IT RELATES TO BUSINESS LICENSE TAX RATES FOR DISTRIBUTION CENTERS.

An Ordinance proposing to amend Redlands Municipal Code Section 5.08.482 as it relates to the business license tax rates for distribution centers in the City of Redlands as follows:

The business license tax rate for distribution centers operating in the City of Redlands is currently four and seven-tenths cents ($0.047) per square foot of gross floor area.  The Ordinance would increase the annual business license tax rate to ten and one-half cents ($0.105) per square foot of gross floor area principally devoted to the distribution of goods.

The Ordinance would remove language that would allow the business license tax rate to be increased by the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index to the maximum amount of five cents ($0.05) per square foot of gross floor area.
