Flick or treat Halloween Drive In Movie Drive Thru Trail

Join Us For Our Free Halloween Event!

In order to help residents safely enjoy Halloween this year, the City of Redlands is sponsoring a family-friendly “Flick or Treat” Halloween drive-thru and drive-in movie event.

The all-ages family-friendly drive-thru trail will keep the fun traditions and excitement of Halloween alive in a safe and engaging way. The parking lot at the Redlands Sports complex will be transformed by residents, and community nonprofits and businesses with haunting displays for an exciting drive-thru Halloween experience. There will be no entry fee to participate and each child will receive a candy bag (while supplies last).

And be sure to stay after the event for a showing of  “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (PG) screened in a Drive-In like atmosphere along San Bernardino Avenue, just south of the Sports Complex.

Event Entrance/Exit & Street Closures Map

Halloween Trail: Participants will enter the park via the east bound lane of Sessums Dr. onto Dearborn St. and will Exit back onto Sessums Dr.

Drive-In: Participating vehicles will be expected to enter at the intersection of Wabash St. and San Bernardino Ave. Following the completion of the movie, vehicles will be guided by staff to exit onto the intersection of Dearborn St. and San Bernardino Ave.

Park Closure: The Redlands Sport Complex will be closed all day 10/31

Street Closures: 
San Bernardino Ave. will be closed starting 10/30 at 7:00a and will remain closed until 10/31 at 11:00p.
Dearborn St. will be closed starting 10/31 between noon and 11:00p

San Bernardino County recently developed guidelines  for residents who plan to celebrate Halloween, which outlines how activities like trick-or-treating or trunk-or-treating can be enjoyed safely.

This event is a contactless drive-thru Halloween event. Upon arrival, you and your party will be checked-in and go on to enjoy from the comfort of your car. You will drive through the parking lot at the Redlands Sports complex to view Halloween displays created by residents, nonprofits and businesses. Similar to a drive-in theater, you’ll tune in to a radio station to hear the stereo sound and music for the event.

Guests will be required stay in their vehicles at all times and keep their windows up. Each child will receive a single Free Halloween goodie bag filled with candy, crafts, and more. The family friendly event is approximately 10 minutes.

Location: The corner of San Bernardino & Dearborn (South of the Redlands Sports Complex)

In celebration of Halloween The City of Redlands is showing ” The Nightmare Before Christmas“. The movie will be shown on the corner of San Bernardino & Dearborn in a Drive-In style screening. Gates will open at 6:00 pm. Pre-registration is required.

Parking spaces will be configured to ensure that vehicles have at least six feet of distance between them. ​

Each vehicle may only be occupied by members of the same household who have already been in close contact with each other. If not utilizing restroom facilities , patrons must remain in their vehicles. Patrons cannot sit outside of their vehicles

The movie audio will be played through a radio transmitter, where residents can enjoy the film from the comfort of their vehicle and listen on their FM radio.​

When utilizing the restroom facilities , patrons must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
