The goal of the Fire Training Division is to establish and maintain an acceptable fire control, emergency medical, chemical emergency and specialized team capability through the professional development of the Department’s personnel resources. The responsibilities of the Fire Training Division include:

• Administering training for all members of the Fire Department
• Recruitment of Fire personnel.
• Development of Standards to determine the best qualified candidate for promotion.
• Regularly scheduled performance standard drills to enhance the Fire Company’s skills for fire ground application. Technical training, team training, officer training programs and specialized equipment training are included to accomplish this.
