An Introduction to Mel Shea A Redlands Resident

Mel Shea is a Redlands native and friend to the Joslyn and Redlands Senior Centers. Mel serves as the President of our Redlands Senior Activities Advisory Board and  volunteer  for many special events and recreational programming for our Senior Services Division. You can often find Mel and her husband Bob at our seasonal dinner dances, overseeing our “Mother’s Day Tea & Fashion Show”, painting in the Water Color & Acrylics Class, or gathering the volunteers for our  “Tamale Making Workshop”. Her passion is arts & crafts, she uses her creative abilities to organize decorations for our senior events, advocate for entrepreneurship  at our craft fairs, and donates seasonal handmade crafts for our seniors. Mel is one of the reasons our senior community stands strong today in the way we connect with our patrons.
