The Redlands Police Department Citizens Informational Academy is a comprehensive program created to bring a closer working relationship between the citizens of Redlands and the Redlands Police Department. The purpose of the Academy is to promote understanding between the community and law enforcement through education and interaction. Residents have the opportunity to meet their police officers and to learn the structure and activities of the police department.

Who is eligible?

  • Must live or work in the City of Redlands
  • 16 years of age or older
  • No criminal record

  • Communications
  • Patrol Operation
  • Disaster Awareness 

There is no fee for attending the academy

Applicants are asked to commit to full attendance of all scheduled classes. At the conclusion of the seven weeks, a graduation ceremony is held. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
