Accelerate Neighborhood Climate Action

Movie Preview and Discussion

When: May 31, 2022           Time: 6:30-8:00 pm

Where: Carriage House @ Prospect Park, 1352 Prospect Drive, Redlands 

Come and watch an excellent movie on climate change called Facing Diversity: Choosing Earth, Choosing Life. 

Following the movie, we will gather in small groups to try out the discussion questions and suggest any changes needed to bring this experience to our friends and neighbors.

Last month, on April 30th, we held the ANCA Demonstration Neighborhood Climate Action Forum.  We are now ready for action!  Over the next few months, we will be trying to build greater awareness of the climate crisis in our neighborhoods in preparation for fall Neighborhood Forums and will be launching our monthly educational program. The following event will help prepare us for this work. 

For those of you who missed the Demonstration Neighborhood Climate Action Forum, the takeaway was an enthusiastic “YES!” to the planning process that will now be used in neighborhoods.  

Here are a few remarks made at the end of the event:

• Now I am clear on what ANCA is all about!
• It was really good to see the process.
• This is a mechanism for communities to identify what they want and aspire to and to organize for action.
• This will have a ripple effect.
