City resumes in-person services, maintains COVID-19 precautions

Following a two-week period in which most City facilities curtailed in-person services in an effort to slow the current COVID-19 surge, all City facilities will reopen to the public beginning Monday morning, Jan. 31.

The City will continue to require masks for anyone inside a City facility and will monitor recommendations from County, State and Federal Public Health agencies to combat the pandemic’s spread.

Throughout the two-week closure, City employees continued to report to work, providing services to residents and customers online, over the phone or by appointment. All essential City services, including public safety, code enforcement, water and wastewater utility services and solid waste collection remained in full operation.

The City Council’s COVID-19 subcommittee comprising Mayor Pro Tem Eddie Tejeda and Council Member Denise Davis continues to meet to provide guidance to City staff.
