Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program

CDBG imageThis Federally funding program is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program allocates funds to eligible cities and counties throughout the nation to assist low and moderate-income households and neighborhoods. The national objectives of the program are to provide decent housing, create suitable living environments and expand economic opportunities for low and moderate-income people.

PLEASE NOTE:

Effective July 1, 2015, the City of Redlands will no longer participate in the CDBG program as an Entitlement City. The City will become a Participating Jurisdiction in the County of San Bernardino CDBG and HOME Consortium. Program administration will be provided by the County's Department of of Community Development and Housing with input from the City.

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE:  On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, the Redlands City Council will be considering funding recommendations for the FY 2019-2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.  The City Council meets in the Council Chambers located at 35 Cajon St. and the meeting starts at 6 p.m.  Anyone from the public wishing to address the City Council on this matter should complete a Speaker Request Form and submit it prior to the consideration of the item.
