Chapter 12.44 of the Redlands Municipal Code provides regulations for the City park system.  Reservations are currently required for the Redlands Bowl in Smiley Park, and the Avice Meeker Sewall Theater in Prospect Park. Group picnic tables located in Sections "A" and "C", the gazebo and the covered picnic area in Sylvan Park are reservable. Please see attachments and information below for pricing/insurance information.

All Park Reservation Permits must be completed at least seven days prior to the event date over the counter at the Redlands Civic Center (One Stop Permit Center Counter). If your group is 50 people or less and you will not have a vendor, you can go to the Park first-come, first-served at no cost. If you plan on using a vendor (hiring any company to provide a service at the Park) you will be required to obtain a Park Reservation Permit even if your group is less than 50 people. If your party will have more than 50 people, you are required to have a Park Reservation Permit.

Fees (see link below) vary depending on the size of your party, whether or not you are a resident of Redlands and at which Park you wish to have your reservation. Note that Sylvan Park has a different fee schedule than “All other Parks.” Page one (Group 2) refers to Redlands residents and page two (Group 3) refers to non-residents. The fees consist of three components: 1) the clean-up deposit is based on the number of people and is completely refundable as long as your group picks up after your party; 2) the reservation permit fee; and 3) the certificate of Liability Insurance – usually around $100.00 if purchased through the City. If you have homeowner’s insurance, your provider may be able to issue a certificate which meets the City’ insurance requirements Insurance Requirements.

Reservations forms for all park facilities are available from the Quality of Life Department or may be downloaded. on line. The Park Reservation Request form shall be used for all City park facilities other than the Redlands Bowl and the Sewall Theater.
