Redlands Community Pickleball

Redlands Community Center now offers Pickleball on the Tennis courts Fridays and Saturdays at 8 until 12 noon (some arrive earlier to warm up. While others stay a bit later). There have been groups show up on Mondays and Wednesdays as well. The Community Center has a net, a limited amount of paddles and balls for check out.

The courts are open to all levels of OPEN PLAY. If you have never experienced Pickleball, beginners are very welcomed and embraced. We will take the time to teach you the rules and how to play the game. WARNING IT IS VERY ADDICTIVE, AND HEALTHY AND GREAT EXERCISE!

Please inquire at the main office and they will put you in touch with some of us that are playing to help you get started or just show up and we will take time for you. The USAPA Ambassador, is Judi Whitlock Battey.

You can ask for the net any time the Community Center is open. The tennis courts are lined for pickleball so you can set up a net and be able to play anytime.

We have normal group of 12 to 30 that come out to play regular. It is a lot of great fun and laughs. We will be coming out with more information as the sport grows in Redlands.

Upcoming Special Events:

Join us for our FREE Drop-in Pickleball Open House to introduce the NEW Pickleball Program at the Redalnds Community Center. The public is invited to celebrate the opening of four Pickleball courts to the public at the Redlands Community Center on Friday April 27th and Saturday April 28th from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Heard about the sport but have never played? This is a great opportunity to try it out and learn the game.

The event will include demonstrations at 9:00 a.m. refreshments and open play!  As a response to input received from the community, the Redlands Community Center is now offering Pickleball! City staff recently completed the lining of two tennis court sites for four Pickleball courts and are supplying Pickleball equipment to use on site.

The courts located at the Community Center with lined Pickleball courts are joint use courts for both tennis and Pickleball, and no changes have been made to the tennis court nets. Pickleball is similar to tennis, in which players use small paddles and a plastic ball similar to a wiffle ball.
