Sept. 25, 2017 – The Redlands Police Department will hold an eight hour training class for multi-unit rental apartment managers/owners and single-family rental property owners. The program is focused on education and reducing crime in apartments, condominium complexes and single-family rental housing throughout the city.

Sept. 21, 2017 – The city of Redlands Solid Waste Division will host a Free Dump Day event from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

Sept. 14, 2017 – As part of the commemoration of the centennial of World War I, the A.K. Smiley Public Library will host a lecture at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the library’s Assembly Room. Presented by historian Dr. Ann Deegan, “Entering into Service” will explore the ways that Redlands men joined the military effort during the Great War.

Sept. 12, 2017 – Detectives are seeking a suspect or suspects in the stabbing death of a man following an altercation Tuesday morning on East Sun Avenue between Alta and Orange streets.

Aug. 30, 2017 – With the nation’s eyes on the Texas Gulf Coast and the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, the City of Redlands recognizes September as National Preparedness Month, encouraging residents to prepare for natural disasters and other emergencies and to register for the City’s Emergency Notification System.

Aug. 23, 2017 – The end of summer is traditionally marked by the Labor Day holiday, a time for our country to reflect on the hard work of our fellow Americans. The long weekend is celebrated through picnics, pool parties, and barbecues, as families and friends enjoy the last few days of summer before fall and winter approach. Sadly, the Labor Day holiday is also one of the deadliest, with alcohol and drug impaired drivers endangering themselves and others on America’s roadways.

Aug. 15, 2017 – The City of Redlands Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off facility will be closed Saturday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day weekend. Normal hours for the site, Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will resume Saturday, Sept. 9.

Aug. 1, 2017 – Police are investigating two armed robberies, including a robbery and assault reported in the quad area of the University of Redlands campus shortly before 11 p.m. Monday, July 31, and another in downtown Redlands on Sunday.
