March 16, 2018 – Three people were arrested Tuesday, March 13, in connection with the armed robbery of a Boost Mobile phone store.

Redlands investigators, with the assistance of San Bernardino Police, arrested 20-year-old Kairesha Reaushanaedalene Cook as well as a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, all of San Bernardino, in connection with the March 9 robbery.

At about 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, a woman and two teenage males entered the Boost Mobile store at 762 Tennessee St. All three left the store but a few minutes later the teens returned and approached a female clerk. One of the teens, later determined to be the 17-year-old, lifted his shirt and displayed the butt of what appeared to be a handgun and ordered the clerk into the back room of the store.

The second teen filled a backpack with mobile phones. The 17-year-old then ordered the clerk to open the cash drawer and took cash before both fled the store. Both teens got into a waiting white Jaguar which drove away north on Tennessee Street.

Through investigation, Redlands detectives identified the vehicle and located it on March 13 in the 2100 block of East 19th Street in San Bernardino. Investigators set up surveillance on the vehicle and that afternoon three people were seen getting into the vehicle and driving away. San Bernardino Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle a short distance away and all three occupants were contacted.

All three were positively identified as the suspects in the robbery. Inside the vehicle, detectives recovered a replica handgun used in the robbery as well as several mobile phones. Detectives conducted a search of a nearby apartment where they located additional phones. Detectives also recovered a portion of the cash stolen in the robbery.

All three suspects were arrested for armed robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy.
