Saturday Farmers Market canceled due to excessive heat warning

Due to predicted high temperatures and an Excessive Heat Warning for this weekend, the Saturday Morning Farmers Market has been canceled on Sept. 3.

Under the City of Redlands weather policy, the Saturday Morning Farmers Market will be canceled any time the National Weather Service issues an Extreme Heat Warning. Temperatures Saturday are expected to exceed 105 degrees.                                         

Cooling Center hours will be available at the Redlands Community Senior Center and the Redlands Community Center, 111 W. Lugonia Ave., and at the Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant St.

Cooling Center hours at the Redlands Community Center will continue through 7:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 31.

On Thursday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 2, Cooling Center hours will be available at the Community Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will continue at the Redlands Community Center from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Also on Friday, Sept. 2, the Joslyn Senior Center will be available as a Cooling Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 3, the Redlands Community Center will be open as a Cooling Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
