Residents invited to apply for openings on Planning, Historic commissions

April 4, 2018 – The City of Redlands invites individuals to apply for positions on the Planning and the Historic and Scenic Preservation commissions. Deadline for filing applications is April 19. Members are appointed by the City Council.

The Planning Commission prepares a comprehensive long term general plan for the physical development of the City and makes recommendations to the City Council relating to the maintenance of the General Plan, zoning administration,  environmental assessments, site plan and architectural review, subdivision planning, sign, parking and landscaping regulations, housing, historic preservation, and Measure “N” processing.

The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. 

The Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission promotes public interest in and understanding of historical and scenic properties and their preservation.

This commission meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.
