Redlands Fire Department 2017 Spark of Love Toy Drive

Article

Nov. 21, 2017 – Black Friday, Nov. 24, will mark the 25th year of the Spark of Love Toy Drive. During this season of giving, the Redlands Fire Department will again join firefighters across Southern California in the collection and distribution of new toys and sports equipment for children in need. The Spark of Love Toy Drive collected and distributed more than 500,000 toys last year. Each year’s success is a result of various communities and organizations coming together in the spirit of giving.

The Spark of Love program is a part of the Redlands Fire Department’s mission to preserve the past and protect the future. Make a donation and continue the Spark of Love tradition and positively impact a child’s future. Unwrapped toys and sports equipment may be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Fire Station 261, 525 E. Citrus Ave.
  • Fire Station 262, 1690 Garden St.
  • Fire Station 263, 10 W. Pennsylvania Ave.
  • Fire Station 264, 1270 W. Park Ave.
  • Administrative Office, 35 Cajon St. Suite #12.

The Redlands Fire Department and KFROG will team up for collection efforts at the Citrus Plaza and Mountain Grove shopping centers during the months of November and December. The first Toy Drive Collection stop will be at the Mountain Grove food court, on Nov. 22, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Additional dates and times can be found on the Redlands Fire Department’s Facebook page.

The Redlands Fire Department and the Boys and Girls Club locally distribute donations at the following events:

  • Dec. 15, Boys and Girls Club Holiday Extravaganza hosted at the Burrage Mansion in Redlands.
  • Dec. 24, RFD Code 3 Run.

Giving is an act of love, please open your hearts and help Redlands Firefighters show underserved children that their community is here to serve and protect them.
