Essential City services will continue following governor’s order

Article

Following Gov. Gavin Newsom’s March 19 order that California residents remain at home, the City of Redlands wants to assure residents that all essential City services, including public safety, water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment, solid waste pickup, infrastructure maintenance, animal control and other critical services will continue.

Non-public health and safety services will be curtailed until further notice. All City offices and facilities are closed to the public at least through the end of April. Residents and others who need to conduct business with the City may call City offices or go online but responses may be delayed.

Redlands Police have added extra patrols, with concentration in business and commercial areas, especially overnight. Police are not patrolling or enforcing business closures or prohibitions against most public gatherings, but officers will continue to engage the community, educate and encourage adherence to all public health orders and recommendations.
