Downtown holiday lighting ceremony to precede annual parade

Nov. 28, 2017 – This Saturday, the City of Redlands will add a little extra sparkle to the holiday season when Mayor Paul Foster throws the switch to light the Historic Downtown and Redlands Civic Center with holiday lights.

The ceremony will take place at Ed Hales Park at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. Mayor Foster will flip a switch lighting the new seasonal holiday monuments at either end of East State Street and the street tree lighting along East State Street from Orange Street to Ninth Street as well as lights in the Orange Street Alley and at City Hall at the corner of Cajon and Citrus.

There will be complimentary hot cocoa for attendees while supplies last. Children and families can enjoy the lighting ceremony and stay for the annual Downtown Christmas Parade, which begins at 6 p.m.
