Dessert and Dialogue hosts president of Heritage Trails Association
Nov. 22, 2017 – Learn about the early pioneer history of the San Bernardino Valley with guest speaker Marilyn Mills at the Redlands Community Senior Center’s Dessert and Dialogue program starting at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4.
Mills, president of the Heritage Trails Association, will give a presentation on the early pioneer history of the San Bernardino Valley, including the aspects of “True Community” which were displayed in the colony between the Mormon, black, and Jewish pioneers and their neighbors, the Native Americans and Spanish rancho families. She will also include a slide presentation on the modern-day Heritage Trails Wagon Train that in 2001, retraced the trek of the early pioneers to California.
Dessert and Dialogue is a free program open to the public that takes place after the senior nutritional lunch program at the Redlands Community Senior Center. Hot meals are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The hot meals are available to all adults. A donation of $3 is suggested for those 60 or older, and guests under 60 may enjoy lunch for $6.
