Aug. 31, 2017 – The City Council continues their popular Coffee with the Council Saturday, Sept. 9, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Cuca’s Mexican Food, 1752 E. Lugonia Ave. Mayor Pro Tem Paul Barich and Council Member Eddie Tejeda will be in attendance.

Coffee with the Council was begun in February 2011 as part of the City’s continuing efforts to increase interaction with residents and promote transparency in City affairs.

The informal meetings are scheduled quarterly from 9 to 10:30 a.m. as a way for residents to ask questions or share concerns outside the formal setting of a City Council meeting. The last Coffee with the Council meeting of the year will be held Dec. 9 at Olive Avenue Market, 530 W. Olive Ave.

In addition, in April Council members began a series of Walking with the Council meetings held along several of the City’s walking trails. The last Walking with the Council for 2017 will be Oct. 14 at the Santa Ana River Trail (future alignment), starting at Cave Street and Riverview Drive.

Council members rotate attendance for both Coffee with the Council and Walking with the Council, with no more than two members at each meeting.
