City Council to consider eviction moratorium at special meeting

The Redlands City Council will hold a special meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, to consider a temporary moratorium on residential and commercial evictions due to loss of income as a result of the coronavirus.

Also, on the agenda is discussion and possible action relating to homelessness during the local emergency and discussion and possible action relating to the provision of public comments for City Council meetings held during the local emergency.

Public attendance at City Council meetings is limited while a state of local emergency exists to allow for social distancing recommended by county, state and federal public health officials. In order to facilitate social distancing, all public comment for items whether on the agenda or not will be taken at the beginning of the meeting. Residents are encouraged instead to submit public comments in writing and to view the meeting online or on Redlands TV.
