Sewage is backing up into my home, what should I do?

 

If there is sewage backing up into your home (shower, toilet, sink, etc.) you should telephone the Customer Service Department immediately at (909) 798-7516. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with alternating Fridays closed.

 

After-hours and weekends you should telephone (909) 798-7681. We will need to have your Name, Address and Telephone Number where you can be reached. The City's sewer line maintenance crew will respond as soon as possible to see if there is a blockage in the City's sewer main. If a blockage does not exist in the sewer main you may be advised to call a plumber to investigate a possible blockage in your sewer lateral.

 

Sewage is flowing from a manhole, what should I do?

 

Note the location of the sewer manhole, the street it is on, and the nearest cross street and call Customer Service immediately at (909) 798-7516 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed alternating Fridays) to report the problem.

The City's sewer line maintenance crew will respond to this location as soon as possible to investigate the problem and clear the sewer main as necessary. After-hours and weekends you should telephone (909) 798-7681.

There is a strong sewer smell in the area of my business/home, what should I do?

My neighbor’s sewer pipe is broken and raw sewage is flowing into their yard, what should I do?

This problem is handled by the Building and Safety Division and Code Enforcement Division of the City. To report a problem to Building and Safety call (909) 798-7536. To report a problem to Code Enforcement call (909) 335-4726. The office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with alternating Fridays closed.

A manhole cover is missing or ajar in the street, what should I do?
