Program Information

The Senior Transportation Program was designed by the Redlands Police Department to meet the transportation needs of the seniors and the disabled in the Redlands Community. For more information call (909) 798-7579.

Eligibility

The service is available to residents of the City of Redlands who are 55 years of age and older or who are physically or mentally unable to utilize other forms of transportation.

  1. Drivers will provide curbside service only.
  2. Drivers are under no obligation to search for passengers.
  3. It is the responsibility of the passenger to be at the designated pick-up location at the prearranged time.
  4. Drivers will wait no more than five minutes for passengers.

Hours of Operation

Monday-Friday 7:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (except on major holidays). Services provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, priority is given to medical appointments.

Fees

Bus passes are available for purchase at both the Joslyn Center and the Redlands Community Senior Center for a cost of $17.50 (10 rides).

How to Obtain Service

Service is on a reservation-only basis. Reservations MUST be made 48 hours in advance. Advance reservations for medical appointments can be made as soon as you receive them.

Reservations are taken on Mondays - Fridays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. only. For reservations, please call: (909) 335-9660.

Pick-Up Information

Drivers’ time of arrival is approximate. (Please allow a 30-minute window for appointments).

At the end of scheduled medical appointments, riders must call 798-7579 for pick-up. A driver will be dispatched as soon as it is feasible.

Additional Information

Seat belts must be worn and safety rules must be followed at all times. Drivers cannot accept gratuities of any kind. Caregivers may accompany passengers free of charge. Please notify the reservation clerk when you place your reservation if a caregiver will be riding with you. Packages are limited to what the passenger can carry and place on their lap and underneath their own seat. Services are not available on major holidays.

The first pick-up of the day is at 8:30 a.m. The last pick-up of the day is at 3:00 p.m.

    • Established in 1988, Redlands Market Night has established itself as one of the most successful certified farmers markets in Southern California! Vendors vie to participate in the event that has attracted thousands of weekly visitors since its inception. Visitors are welcomed into an inviting atmosphere complete with lighted trees, brick sidewalks, historic buildings, and great musical entertainment. Crowds are pleasantly surrounded by over 150 food and merchandise booths, not to mention the downtown shopkeepers, every Thursday night.

    • The City’s successful Saturday Morning Certified Farmers Market brings fresh local produce to historic downtown Redlands every Saturday.

      The Saturday Morning Certified Farmers’ Market began June 6, 2009, bringing local growers to the City parking lot south of Redlands Boulevard between Fifth and Sixth streets near Ed Hales Park. The market operates from 8 to 11 a.m. every Saturday, excluding holiday weekends.

  2. Household Hazardous Waste collection
