Shop Small, it will be huge, on Small Business Saturday
The City of Redlands is joining local businesses in urging residents to Shop Small on Nov. 24, Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It is one of the busiest holiday shopping weekends of the year. Created by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a nationwide promotion that is about small, local businesses. American Express card holders who register their cards ahead of time, shop at a participating small business on Nov. 24 and spend at least $25 will get a $25 statement credit per registered card.
Over two-thirds of the money spent at a local business goes back into our community, supporting local people, local events and local infrastructure.
More than a dozen local businesses have already joined in supporting Small Business Saturday. Those businesses include:
- Martha Green’s Eating Room and Dough’Lectibles;
- A Rolling Stone;
- Collective Journey;
- Don’s Bicycle Shop
- Frugal Frigate;
- Sweet Memories Candy & Toys
- Paxton’s Cellar
- Cabinet Factories Outlet
- Redlands Art Association
- Redlands Cyclery USA
