Report Graffiti, Potholes, Illegal dumping and more!

The City of Redlands will present the latest in a series of free Small Business Workshops, “Starting a New Business: Where Do I Start?” sponsored by SCORE Inland Empire on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

This free workshop is for entrepreneurs who want to start their own business and have no idea where to start or what to consider. Topics will include: defining reasons why you want to start a business, your business concept or ideas, and what start-up factors to consider. These factors will range from a wide variety of topics such as ownership, financing your business, recordkeeping, understanding your competition, marketing, and the basic business plan.  This workshop will give you the opportunity to decide if being in business is right for you!

Presenter Ann Oliver’s background includes participating in all aspects of membership development,  fund raising, human resources, legislative issues, conferences, conventions, education programs, as well as separate "for profit" organizations. She has also been an active Real Estate Sales Associate and sold residential, commercial property all over California for over 30 years.

The workshop series is co-sponsored by SCORE Inland Empire and the U.S. Small Business Administration and designed to help small businesses in areas such as starting a small business, marketing and financing.

The Nov. 14 workshop will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the City Council Chambers, 35 Cajon St. This workshop is free, but registration is required. To register, visit the SCORE website at http://inlandempire.score.org/localworkshops. You may also contact Heather Smith at hsmith@cityofredlands.org or call (909) 798-7629.  Free parking is available in the parking structure on the corner of Citrus Avenue and Sixth Street.
