Firefighters don breast cancer awareness T-shirts

Article

Oct. 3, 2018 – Redlands Firefighters have swapped their uniform T-shirts for new ones with pink lettering and highlights during the month of October in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

But the T-shirts aren’t just for Firefighters. The public can also purchase a Redlands Fire Department T-shirt at the Redlands Fire Administrative Headquarters, 35 Cajon St., Suite 12, in downtown Redlands.

The T-shirts are available in sizes small through XXL. T-shirts are also available in a woman’s tank top. The cost per shirt is $20 with all proceeds benefiting charity, including Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer, presenters of the 2018 Believe Walk.

This marks the sixth consecutive year Redlands Firefighters have worn commemorative T-shirts through the month of October in an effort to increase awareness and raise funds to help fight breast cancer. Each year the Redlands Firefighters Association purchases the T-shirts with money donated from members. With the community’s support, the Redlands Professional Firefighters have donated more than $25,000 to the charity.

The T-shirts are available (while supplies last) for purchase Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For additional information, please call (909) 798-7601.
