Storm drain construction to close one lane on Citrus Avenue

Storm drain construction to close one lane on Citrus Avenue
Posted on 05/04/2016

The right lane of westbound traffic on Citrus Avenue from Judson Street to Grove Street will be closed for storm drain construction Thursday, May 5, and Friday, May 6. Traffic will continue to be open in both directions of Citrus Avenue. Lane closures will be limited to the construction hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Feb. 2, 2016, the Redlands City Council approved the Citrus Avenue and Orange Avenue Storm Drain Repair Project and awarded a construction contract to TryCo General Engineering in the amount of $134,800. All project costs are funded through the City’s Storm Drain fund. Construction of these improvements will improve the integrity of the existing infrastructure, as well as increase the capacity of water flow in the storm drains.

The City will make every reasonable effort to minimize any inconvenience to the neighboring community. Disruptions to City utility services are not expected. However, if disruptions do occur, City staff will make every effort to minimize the duration of the service interruption and provide a 48-hour advance notice.
