Man suspected of distributing child pornography arrested

April 12, 2017 - A 46-year-old Redlands man suspected of distributing child pornography over the internet was arrested by Fontana Police Wednesday following a four-month investigation by a regional task force.

Redlands Police detectives, working as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, assisted in serving a search warrant on a home in the 1400 block of Laramie Avenue in Redlands at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 12. Investigators seized electronic storage devices containing more than 10,000 files of child pornography, along with assault rifles, handguns and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

The suspect, Donald Jule West, was arrested at the home later that day by officers of the Fontana Police Department’s Rapid Response team.

West was booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
